Audrey Laney is an 18-year-old student at Fresno City College who is currently undeclared but considering a major in journalism. She is a sophomore in college, and this is her first year on The Rampage. She joined to explore her love for journalism and see if it’s the right career path for her. Moreover, she grew up in Kingsburg, California, where she still resides today. Her interest in storytelling and media began in high school, where she spent two years involved in journalism, gaining early experience with writing, reporting, and understanding how media impacts communities. Outside the classroom, Audrey is an active member of Fresno State’s color guard in the Bulldog Marching Band, now entering her second year on the team and her sixth year overall in the activity. This year, she also began working as a tech at Kingsburg High School’s color guard, marking her first year teaching the activity she has been passionate about for many years. This new role has allowed her to share her skills and give back to the program that first inspired her love for the sport. In her free time, Audrey enjoys watching films, playing video games, and hanging out with friends. These hobbies reflect her passion for stories, creative expression, and connecting with others. She also loves coffee, matcha, and trying all kinds of food. With her background in high school journalism and her dedication to creative pursuits, Audrey brings both experience and enthusiasm to her work. Ultimately, she looks forward to improving her skills in writing and communication at Fresno City College while contributing to The Rampage.

Justin Shaw is the Rampage’s sports editor from Fresno CA. He is 22-years-old and a journalism major who want be a sports broadcaster. During his free time, Justin likes to go bowling but he also practices taking photos. Justin graduated high school as a junior. This is his fourth semester at Fresno City College and his second semester at The Rampage. While at The Rampage, Justin wants to get better at taking photos but also covering stories. He is excited to be apart of The Rampage. He got in to wanting to be a sports broadcaster because when Justin was growing up he played sports as he got older he decided if he wasn’t gonna get a career in sports why not do something with sports so he decided to be a broadcaster. Another thing Justin wants to learn from The Rampage is the real world experience. He is a beginner in photography, but is excited to get better and learn how to get good at photography. He learned and knows how to make articles and cannot wait to put it to the test and meet deadlines. This is a good learning experience and a passion he wants to pursue in getting better at. Even if he does not go into sports broadcasting at least he will have the knowledge and some skills to be a journalist outside of sports. He is ready to help contribute to The Rampage this semester and will do the best he can.
