Ashanti: big man on campus

Chris Ashanti is one of the most dynamic guard in the Central Valley Conference, averaging 15 points per game, and 5.6 rebounds a game.

He is one of the leaders of this years FCC men’s basketball team. They are No. 2 in the state and 25-2, 8-1 in CVC. He is being recruited by Idaho State, along with other schools.

Q. Where were you born? When did you graduate? Where did you go to high-school?

A. I’m from Compton .California, LA Jordan High School, graduated in 2010.

Q. How long have you been playing basketball?

A. I started playing .basketball at the age of 5 or 6.

Q. Did someone introduce you to basketball? What made you want to play?

A. My older brother played basketball, so I followed in his footsteps. He was real tough on me, always on me about the game, and I was used to playing against older guys. From that time I just fell in love with the sport.

Q. What or who is your biggest inspiration in your life?

A. My mother

Q. What is your favorite quote or motto for your life?

A. Passion. I play with alot of passion.
