FCC Baseball Dominates Chabot College

Rams dominate Chabot Gladiators stretching their undefeated streak to 8-0

The Fresno City College Baseball team took on the Chabot College Gladiators at the FCC ballpark on February 6 and 7. The Rams continued their undefeated streak beating Chabot College 6-0 on Feb. 6 and 4-3 on Feb. 7 and are now 8-0 on the season. 

Towards the end of the first inning the Gladiators and the Rams were scoreless with three outs each. The score was 0-0. 

At the top of the second inning, the Gladiators were scoreless with three outs. The Rams scored at the bottom of the second inning with one run and three outs. The Rams led the Gladiators 1-0. 

Towards the end of the third and fourth inning the Gladiators and the Rams were scoreless with three outs each. The Rams still led the Gladiators 1-0.

At the top of the fifth inning, the Gladiators were scoreless with three outs. The Rams scored at the bottom of the fourth inning with four runs and three outs. The Rams now led the Gladiators 5-0.

Towards the end of the sixth and seventh inning the Gladiators and the Rams were scoreless with three outs each. The Rams still led the Gladiators 5-0.

At the top of the eighth inning, the Gladiators were scoreless with three outs. The Rams scored at the bottom of the eighth inning with one run and three outs. The Rams now led the Gladiators 6-0.

As the game came to a close in the ninth inning, both the Rams and the Gladiators were scoreless. 

The Rams will play their next three games on the road, beginning Feb.12 at Monterey Peninsula College. They will then travel to Sacramento City College for games Feb. 13 and 14.

After opening conference play on the road at Porterville on Feb. 17, the Rams will return to FCC Ballpark on Feb. 19 for the second game of the three-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.

This article has been updated to change the date of the game on the 10th which has been moved to the 12th due to rain.

Ryan Anderson is a 23-year-old journalism major in his 2 year and last semester at Fresno City College and this is his third semester being part of the Rampage. Ryan is the brother to three older sisters, and he is the youngest out of the four of them. Ryan was a member of the Fresno City College cross country team during the fall 2025 season. He was raised in Clovis where he attended elementary, middle school and high school. He found his love of journalism when he was in elementary school. Ryan became an uncle in 2021 when his nephew Gavin was born. Ryan became an uncle again this past November when his niece Elyse was born. Ryan hopes to one day be a news reporter for ABC30. Ryan was part of the tech team at people’s church doing graphics and lights for the children’s department. He hopes to transfer to Fresno State in the fall of 2026 to continue getting his bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism. He is a huge fan of Taylor swift and hopes to one day go to her concert and get a chance to meet her. He has been to Texas Nevada Washington state Arizona and New Mexico. Ryan graduated from Clovis high in 2020.  When he’s not in the newsroom you can find him listening to music, hanging out with his friends, working on his homework and spending time with his family. Ryan is excited to continue reporting for the rampage and continue growing as a reporter.
