Juan Muratalla is a 22-year-old dude born and raised in Fresno. He loves the Ravens, writing, laughing, and video games. Along with his favorite band, Pink Floyd. He is studying Journalism at Fresno City College and has taken the Journalism class three times as a reporter, Opinion Editor, and Sports Editor. Juan feels connected to his Mexican community, especially now, and has always been motivated to help share stories of those who need it. Although he has been rather isolated growing up, Journalism allows him to meet people and build relationships and community. Another identity that Juan shares is being a foster youth. Independence is important, but Juan has recognized that without a team of those who care about you and are willing to support you, life is near impossible. Juan is also hard on himself but is getting better. Juan still shies away from others but has learned to speak up and loves to make others smile. He also really wanted a drum kit because he loves music and drummers like Neil Peart and John Bonham. He had to settle for a bass, which he also really loves. Now he can be like Greg Lake or John Paul Jones. Juan has enjoyed his time at FCC and thinks that it has been the best years of his life. He is both scared, excited, and hopeful for the future, and wants to continue his work in storytelling and community building.

Katrina Saldivar is a 19 year old born in Las Vegas, Nevada but raised primarily in Fresno, CA.  She is a first year, majoring in journalism and plans to use that to become a broadcast reporter or entertainment journalist.  She is a reporter and this is her first year working for The Rampage. She graduated from Bullard High School and plans to transfer to a four-year after FCC with sights set on Cal State Fullerton, San Francisco State or USC. She lives with her parents and three dogs, Ginger, Jake and Lottie. She has no siblings and is very grateful for that. She went to Starr Elementary, Tenaya Middle School and graduated from Bullard High School in 2025. In high school, Katrina worked on Bullard’s school news, Knight Watch, for two years and was involved in yearbook as well, taking pictures and working with cameras. She was also in Link Crew and theatre.   She has also done theatre since she was about 7-years-old, with notable roles being Wilson in Harvey as a sophomore, Roz in 9-to-5 as a junior, The Conductor in Twentieth Century and Hipolito in Amelie as a senior. She also has a job, working at Ichi Shabu in Campus Pointe and likes to go to the gym in her free time. She also loves to watch movies with her favorites include Luca, D.E.B.S, A Bronx Tale, and Dirty Dancing. She also loves music. Her favorite artists are Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Sublime, Gorillaz, Luvcat, The Smiths and Bloodhoung Gang. She is incredibly excited to work at The Rampage this semester!
