Student Refund Reminder

Students who drop classes previous to the refund date (two weeks after the class began) are entitled to a reimbursement. It is estimated that nearly a $million go unclaimed each year. When funds are not collected by students, they are recycled back into the Fresno City’s “General Fund.” However, if you are not in a charitable mood or think that you may be entitled to your refund, you may collect it in the College Business Offices in room A-109 of the Old Administration Building. FCC spokeperson insists,”It is the student’s responsibility, not the instructor’s responsibility”, to opt for a refund. More information can be found at fresnocitycollege.edu.

Smoking Debate

The Fresno City College Associated Student Government will be holding its second debate today to decide whet her or not the smoking policy will be changed today.

The debate will be held in the Old Administration Building in room 251 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The debate will follow the same format as the Fall Semester, with speakers representing different sides of the debate.

However, there will be three podiums at this debate. The speaker at one will be representing the side that is in favor of banning smoking on campus. Another will represent those who would prefer that the rule stays as is. The other podium and its speaker will be representing those in the middle who would create designated areas.

Students who attend the debate will be encouraged to ask questions and participate in the discussions in order to help the ASG decide which policy will best reflect what the students of FCC want.
