Infidelity is the number one cause of couples ending a relationship.  Dealing with temptation and being committed to one person can be difficult. But how can we avoid infidelity?

Some people have a hard time committing themselves to one person. If you’re one of those people, then dating should not be in your plans. By being honest with yourself and others, you can avoid hurting someone.

Having stress in your life can affect a relationship. If you find yourself having stress at home or work, take a break and think things through before making a bad decision like cheating.

Communicate with your partner and let them know what things are affecting your relationship. Communication is the key into solving many problems.

Spend time together no matter how busy your schedule may be. Always have dates planned just for each other.  Having time alone with each other can spice up your romance.

Save your kisses and hugs only for your partner. Giving someone a quick hug at church or hugging a friend you haven’t seen in years is OK. But being too physical with others on a regular basis is a bad idea.

Don’t get too personal in your conversations with other people. If you’re going through a rough time, don’t share it with a friend of the opposite sex. That can easily lead you into grabbing the hand of anyone kind enough to offer it. Then you may start cheating with that person because they showed the care you needed and were willing to listen to you.

Be careful at work. If a co-worker of the opposite sex invites you out for lunch, try to go in a group instead. The same applies with school. If that person from class wants to have lunch with you, go, but with a group of classmates.

If you haven’t seen a friend for years and you were attracted to them, it wouldn’t be a good idea to meet with them for coffee. Chances are that you may feel that attraction again.

Lastly, to avoid cheating in your relationship, you have to do the things you like with your partner and your partner only. Anyone can come and try to light up the candle, but at the end of the day make sure to go to your partner.
