Makeup is bad for your skin

Makeup is bad for your skin

The majority of the people who wear makeup are women. There’re a few men who choose to wear makeup as well. But how safe is makeup for your skin? Can wearing makeup cause skin reactions, cancer or wrinkles if applied daily?

Many people wear makeup all day long. Many also forget to cleanse the skin before going to bed.

Researchers say that wearing makeup on a daily basis can be bad for your skin.

Martha Morris, a beauty consultant who works from home selling many beauty products said, “Makeup can become bad for your skin if you don’t take control of how much you use. You should only apply the use according to the time of the day,”

Many people forget that makeup has some rules. There’s daytime makeup and nighttime makeup.

During the day, makeup should be applied less and heavier makeup should only be applied at nighttime.

“It’s also very important to follow the steps into cleaning the face before going to bed. It shouldn’t matter how tired you are. You must cleanse the skin every day,” said Morris.

Keep in mind that makeup is all made out of chemicals. The less makeup you apply to your skin, the less chemicals you’re exposing your skin to.

Experts say that the chemicals used to make makeup are the same ones that cause skin cancer and cause premature aging. Also, eye makeup can cause eye infections.

Experts advise people to use more organic makeup. Everyone who wears makeup should research the chemicals that makeup is made of as every skin can react differently  to each chemical.

For example when wearing lipstick, if it gets into the mouth and then into your stomach, it can cause harm to the bloodstream.

One way people can easily be exposed to bacteria is through mascara. Mascara should only be used for six weeks and shouldn’t be shared. People who share mascara can end up with severe eye infections.

Some of the chemicals in makeup are, parabens, sodium laurel sulphate. This chemicals are also found in shampoo, soap, toothpaste and shaving cream. They have been linked to cause skin irritation.

People choose to wear makeup to look their best, but it’s best to balance what is best for your health and for your looks.

Make the right choices when buying beauty products.
