McCain For President: Experience Wins Battles

Who is better suited to lead our nation?

Who should lead the United States? This is the big question that will be answered on November 4 after almost two years of long, drawn out and often nasty elections.

The choices for most Americans are Barack Hussein Obama, Democrat, and John Sidney McCain, Republican.

After much thought, I have chosen to vote for John McCain. My first pick, Mitt Romney, was eliminated earlier in the election.

I have not always agreed with McCain on many issues such as amnesty in the guise of immigration reform or his attempts to silence free media in the so called “fairness doctrine”.

But overall I agree with him more then I disagree and disagree with almost everything Obama stands for so the choice was simple in the end.

Out of all the issues in my mind the most important job of any president is national security protecting this country from our enemies.

Senator Obama has shown he is naive about the threat many of our enemies are.

About Iran, he once called it a small insignificant country that was no threat to America. He has also refused to admit the surge has been successful despite most knowledgeable people saying so.

Mr. Obama also said he would meet with Iran’s leader with no preconditions, giving it an unearned legitimacy before quickly back tracking.

John McCain knows what it means to serve and suffer for your country he will work with America’s allies to continue pressure on Iran to stop its move toward nuclear weapon development.

During this election Mr. Obama and his supporters have tried to take the high ground by claiming to run a clean election despite numerous attacks mostly through surrogates and Joe Biden in attempt to keep the dirt off his own hands.

On several occasions, people representing Obama have claimed a loss by him would be the result of racism.

One surrogate in fact went so far as to claim there were a thousand reasons to vote for Obama and only one not to.

Obama himself also has used the fear of racism to his advantage once claiming Republicans would try to scare people from voting for him by claiming “He doesn’t look like those people on the money and did I mention he’s black?”

Besides attempts to make non Obama voters appear racist the Obama campaign has also tried to question their intelligence. Joe Biden claimed some people didn’t know what to think about Obama because they weren’t used to dealing with someone that smart.

There have also been attempts to slander Governor Sarah Palin, McCain’s choice for vice-president in some of the media who support Barrack Obama with suggestions she can’t be a good mother and still be vice president.

I will not vote for Mr. Obama because of his lack of experience and because I feel he would take this country in the wrong direction. It had nothing to do with his race.

If someone who was African American and qualified were running ,such as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, I would have no problem voting for them.

Differences in the level of experience between Obama and McCain is the key issue for me in this election.

Imagine you have a brain tumor and need surgery and you have only two options. One is a doctor who has over thirty years experience, or you can choose a doctor barely out of medical school. Which would you choose?

I would want the experienced surgeon. I believe most would. On the job training is not something I want in a president.
