    FCC Celebrates Football Victory

    “FCC highlights Football Victory”

    By Pedro Quintana

For 25 years, the Fresno City College Rams were unable to beat the City College of San Francisco football team.
Each year, the result was the same with the Rams at the losing end.
It all changed this year; the Rams got that monkey off their back, to the delight of FCC students, staff, and faculty who celebrated the football Rams’ victory on Monday, in front of the free speech area.
The Associated Student Government, ASG, sponsored the event.
The organizers got the crowd swaying to the blaring music and hula hoop contests, with students Phillip Thomas and Jemileh Hopkins outlasting other spinners and winning the contest. Those who gathered received coupons for Subway sandwiches and smoothies.

The organizers of the rally said they wanted to recognize the accomplishments of the football players. Jameeh Medlock, #52 football player, said, “It felt so good; it is just indescribable; words can’t describe how we felt.”

The ASG will highlight every Fall team every Monday, just to show support to the sports and the athletes that play. The FCC Football will play on Saturday at 7:00p.m. against Merced College.
Their homecoming celebration will be on October 13.
Organizers are calling all FCC students and supporters to go out there and show support to the Rams Football team.
