Miley Araujo, Opinion Editor
Miley is a returning reporter on the rampage and this semester she is the opinion editor! She has a deep passion for telling stories and staying informed. This semester she wants to lean more into sharing her own opinions on different topics. She comes full circle as an editor through previously having three years of high school journalism experience and working as the opinion and digital media editor. Her first semester on the rampage amplified her drive to continue doing what she loved, so a journalism major she stays!
Miley comes from a family full of women and inherits the overachiever trait by constantly challenging herself, but in her spare time, she enjoys nature walks and escaping into her books. Her all-time favorite book is “The Song of Achilles” by Madeline Miller, and she still cries about it. She’ll read anything with a strong female lead and a good slow burn. She loves watching a bunch of movies with people she loves, and one of her love languages is quality time with her favorite people.
Miley plans to spend her time at Fresno City College building her experience and bonding with her team. So far, she has made meaningful connections both inside and outside of the newsroom, and she is grateful for the support she has received in just a short amount of time. She isn’t sure where yet, but she hopes to continue studying journalism after she leaves and work as a reporter or digital designer. Go Rampage!
