Devin Taing, Multimedia Editor
Devin Taing was born and raised in Fresno California. He is now a 20 year old student here at Fresno City College. He is currently majoring in Mass Communications Journalism and is looking to get a degree in Film and Media arts. He has hopes of becoming a Cinematographer in the future. He considered himself a fast learner as a kid, he would love to pick up learn new things. In middle school he learned how to solve a Rubik's Cube in under a minute! He was also picked up basic video editing where he could make funny skits on his phone for family and friends to see. Once he attended Sunnyside High School, he discovered their Video Production Academy (VPA) Program. From there he got to learn the basics of story-boarding, creative-writing, filming, and editing. It sparked his passion for video production and one day he wants to start producing his own short-films. When Covid first hit however, it changed a lot of things. School through online meetings made it easy to slack off and get off track. After two whole years of quarantining and isolation, his mental health was pretty low. However, his family was out one day for a get-together and he just happened to stumble across for someone who films weddings and needed someone to help him film. This re-ignited the passion for video within Devin and began another chapter for him where he can have a fresh start. Ever since, he has been working on becoming a better man. Now for work, Devin is currently a freelance videographer/photographer. He also works for a production called Rebi Films, where he films weddings. Some other hobbies that Devin enjoys are gaming, cooking, and powerlifting. His favorite music genre's are Indie-pop, rap, and R&B.
