Swift Speaks Love

Taylor Swift is back at it again, and this time with a touch of teenage love and heartbreak that leaves listeners swooning in anticipation for the next song to play.
In her newest album Swift brings viewers into a world of innocent love and teenage heartbreak once again. The lyrics to many of these songs tell an insightful story, with such detail that it leaves listeners wondering whether the country star is ranting about a personal failed love experience.
Some of the hit singles from the album are “Mine”, “Back to December”, “Mean”, “The Story of Us”, and “Sparks Fly”. The song “Mean” debuted at No.3 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was a big hit overseas, being awarded the title of certified gold in Australia. The basic gist as far as the lyrics go is a girl seeing a boy that she likes, but unfortunately the boy is with someone else whom she feels doesn’t deserve him.
The single “Back to December” is one of the only hits that Swift has ever recorded where she seems to be apologizing to an ex-lover, instead of faulting them like she usually does. In the single Swift seems to be apologizing for a bad break-up and an awkward aftermath, which makes it relatable to many listeners. The single peaked at No.3 in the Billboard Top 100.
In the single “Mean,” Swift is calling out an ex-boyfriend that she apparently is bitter about. The lyrics of the song serve as a show of how well she is off now, and how all he is is mean. The single peaked at No.11 on the Billboard Top 100 and continues to be on heavy rotation at radio stations around the country.
In this album Swift continues her unique style, a style that is filling up stadiums around the country and making her one of country music’s most popular stars. She may have a country/pop style that is unique, but fans everywhere continue to love it.
