Collins Tanomkhum, News Editor
Collins Tanomkhum is a 20 year old journalism major with a passion for the visual arts. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, until his family moved to Fresno in 2021, where he’s lived ever since with his cat, Pinecone. After a semester at the Rampage gave him insight on how to tell people’s stories through journalism, Collins found a place in the newsroom as the Rampage’s news editor.
With an initial interest in film, Collins took his love for sharing stories to empower the community’s voice. His experience in journalism prior to joining the Rampage was limited and independent but becoming part of the team has been a highlight of his time in college, giving him a new reason to get out and participate in the community more often. He has an eye for aesthetics, particularly in graphic design where he’s always looking to improve his photography and editing skills. Collins hopes to continue finding stories in each corner of campus to share during his time in the spring semester.
In his free time, Collins enjoys discovering new films, shows and music that he shares with his brother. He adores sad stories, but he ends up watching a lot of awful horror films instead of his growing to-watch list.
