The district is searching for interested volunteers to sit on the Measure C Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee. All interested candidates, 18 or older, who meet California law requirements must apply by July 28, the district said.

The district said eligible applicants are those who meet any of the following requirements:

  • Students enrolled in community college support group, such as Associated Student Government
  • Business community located in the college district
  • Senior citizens’ organizations
  • Bona-fide taxpayers’ organization
  • District support organization, such as the State Center Community College Foundation
  • At-large-resident of SCCCD

The district said employees, vendors, contractors and consultants of the district are not allowed to become members of the oversight committee.

The Measure C campaign was launched in October 2015 and succeeded with heavy support from voters in the June 7 state primary.
