The very best of what you can be for Halloween this year

Halloween is the season to get creative with a scary or entertaining costume. Some choose to buy their costume while others decide to make their own.

Costumes can be expensive; prices depend on how accessorized or realistic you want it.

These are some do-it-yourself ideas on how to make amazing and unique outfits without breaking the bank.

The Great Gatsby – If you are a guy or a gal that absolutely loved this film when it was released earlier this year, then why not dress up as Jay or Daisy? For men, how about a nice suit with the signature hairstyle and a fedora? For those “flappers,” a dress, a feathery, silver head band and white pearls will complete a look.

Miley Cyrus – After her famous performance at the MTV Video music Awards, Miley is a celeb to consider, especially for fans. For this you need a nude colored swimsuit, hair in two buns on the left and right side of your head and a foam finger.

Breaking Bad – With the popular AMC series ending last month, many fans will want to show their fanaticism by dressing up as Walter White. Slacks, a plaid shirt, a jacket and round glasses are required.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West – How about one of popular culture’s famous celebrity couples? Grab a friend or your significant other for the “Kimye” costume. To look like Kanye, you will need a pair of ”blinds” shades as the rapper is seen in, a blazer and baggy jeans. The Kim Kardashian look requires a “blowout” hairstyle. Keep in mind she has dark hair, an oversized purse and a pair of stilettos. For a complete look, finish with a baby doll as baby North West and fellow friends can join in with cameras as paparazzis.

“Despicable Me” Minion- For those that love the funnier side of Halloween, the Despicable Me ‘Minions” are a great option. The little yellow characters from the popular animated film are a favorite among fans. The minion can made for women with a yellow long sleeve top, an overall denim dress, black gloves, black shoes and goggles.

Another idea based on items that may be in your closet are characters from “Grease.” Men can look like Danny Zuko with a pair of jeans, a white T-shirt and a leather jacket. Remember to slick back your hair and to add plenty of hair gel. Since Danny can’t be complete without Sandy, for women this look requires black leggings, a black off-the-shoulder top, red heels and a leather jacket. Don’t forget the curls!

These are some of the many ideas that can be done for this Halloween. Choosing will be the hard part with many options available. The point is to have a fun, entertaining and safe Halloween.
