Anastasia De Cubas, Reporter
Anastasia De Cubas a 20 year old Journalism major born in Auberry, California but grew up most of her life in Fresno, California. Some of Anastasia’s hobbies include photography and film which she has been doing since she was 14.
When attending Fresno City College Anastasia started out as a biology major, however after attending a Latina Youth Conference she met a creative writer who worked for Disney. After speaking with the creative writer Anastasia realized that the stories she had been secretly writing could actually become a career.
Once Anastasia is finished with her associates in Journalism she plans on transferring to the University of Miami where she wants to get her Master’s in Journalism and Film but also an associate in Spanish. While attending the University of Miami Anastasia plans on interning at a local radio station in order to gain more experience with different types of journalism writing.
After college Anastasia plans on becoming an American reporter that reports on events happening in Latin America in order to not only travel Latin America, but to also visit her father’s hometown in Managua, Nicaragua. While traveling Latin America, Anastasia would also like to start a travel vlog in order to inspire other young writers who want to discover the world. Later on in age when Anastasia is done traveling Latin America she would like to come back to The United States in order to work for Disney or Univision as a creative writer to help represent Latin America
