Men’s FCC Tennis

As the 2013-14 tennis season begins three new arrivals from France join FCC’s tennis team, the reigning back to back State Champions.

FCC men’s tennis teams consists of freshmen, and sophomores. With the sophomores returning from a championship team last year.  With success the past few seasons FCC Men’s tennis team is focused on this upcoming season.

As far as international players coming to FCC “Steve Loop built this program, the reason we get international players is through word of mouth” said Hank Bessinger FCC’s Men’s tennis coach.

Alessandro Moriano from Italy said “ I had a friend tell me FCC was doing really well in tennis, he connected me with the coach here i am.  Last year i had an awesome year, and we won the championship. We’ve gotten a lot better on the team talent wise since last year, the reason we won last year is because we play as a team and it feel’s like a family.”

Jakov Tshirkin from Estonia  replied “My friend came here a couple of years ago, he knew the coach. Its so nice here in California i’m lucky i’m really happy to be here.”

When asked about this seasons outlook “ Were not afraid to put it out there from the beginning, that we’re going for that three peat. That’s ultimately what the expectation is to win a third straight title.  We know what’s on the line and we’re not afraid to talk about it.  If we take care of the basic fundamentals that our program consists of, which is running the stadiums and doing all the things off the court that are important. We’ll be in position to have a chance of capturing a third title.” Hank Bessinger FCC’s Head men’s tennis coach said.
