Club Rush

Once again, FCC is having another event filled Club Rush.  All clubs will show what they are about and hopefully recruit new members. The festivities will take place by the main fountain today from 10a.m to 2p.m. This is the last club rush of the semester, so be sure to come and see what the fuss is about.
 
Veterans Day Ceremony, 2011

It’s that time in to pay our respects to the many honorable veterans dedicated in making this amazing country even better. FCC will be hosting the special tribute to veterans who are in our support services. That means all of the drivers, doctors, nurses, and cooks who have served our country. Whether you are a veteran or just want to pay your respects, the ceremony will be by the Free Speech area on Nov. 4, 12-1 p.m.
 

Town Hall OnStudent Success Taskforce
There will be a town hall meeting to discuss the Student Success Taskforce and its objectives today, from 11-1 p.m. This taskforce is part of a statewide effort to rethink the way community colleges operate. Students are encouraged to come and speak their minds. The event will be held in room 114 of the Old Administration Building.

 
Spirit Rally

Don’t miss the Rams at the spirit rally this Friday at the main fountain to cheer with FCC cheerleaders in spirit of the game against the San Joaquin Delta on Saturday. There will also be “mutts in motion” showing off their K-9 skills and doing tricks at the game for students to enjoy. Don’t miss out on the rally, the cheerleaders will be there to pump up the campus with spirit in hopes to have students support their football team. Go Rams!!!

Falling in Love with a Jerk

Do you have a background of falling for a guy you know is bad to the bone? Speaker Randy Mewhirter will be presenting a practice and comprehensive overview of the critical areas of a relationship. He will teach you the way to follow your heart without losing your mind. Come by and listen in the student lounge on Nov. 9 to get some valuable information on love and relationships. 

 

Holiday Vendor Fair

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at FCC! There will be a holiday vendor fair on Nov. 8 and 9 on campus, to showcase some holiday love. There will be vendors selling ornaments and gifts in order to prepare the students for the cozy season around the corner. Bring some cash and friends to take a look at what these vendors have to offer. It is never too early for some present shopping.
 
Free Screening of Stonewall
Uprising

The Fresno City College Diversity Club will be presenting “Stonewall Uprising”, a PBS film about an event that sparked the gay rights movement. This will be shown at no cost on Friday, from 3-5 p.m. in room SO-104. There will be a discussion following the film.
