Victoria Resendez, Reporter
Victoria Resendez is a 23-year-old first-generation college student from Fresno, California. She has already earned her associate degree in sociology and is currently completing her associate degree in journalism, which she expects to receive this semester. Passionate about both fields, Victoria is dedicated to understanding society while also using journalism as a tool to advocate and use her voice .
Victoria began studying sociology because she wanted to understand how social systems function within communities like her own. Her motivation comes from a passion for advocating equity, inclusion, and opportunities for individuals facing systemic barriers. She also pursued journalism, not only because it allows her to give a platform and highlight important issues, but also because it’s fun and creative. For her, journalism is both an outlet for curiosity and a way to connect with people
Being an indecisive individual Victoria decided to try and go and see if journalism is for her growing up Victoria has always been called a news reporter as a joke by her Family for being curious , wanting to find out the truth about what’s going on and obviously being in everyone’s business. She decided maybe she can use these skills and make something out of it as a career.
Some experience with photography and journalism that Victoria has is during her senior year of high school in 2019-2020 she was in her high school yearbook class at Hoover high school and was able to gain experience from her time there. Victoria is in her second semester with The Rampage. During her time on staff, she has gained experience in reporting, interviewing, and writing articles , she has enjoyed collaborating with peers, and building the hands-on skills that will prepare her for a future career in journalism.
Beyond academics and career, Victoria’s is a concert goer and enjoys the energy that comes from one. When she’s not enjoying the thrill of concerts you can find her PC gaming with friends to relax and pass the time. Journaling is another thing you can find her doing, documenting her lust for life and memories that have been created in a photo.
Victoria is excited to embark on her next adventure at The Rampage this semester and is excited what there is to come and is excited to see what skills she gains and what skills can grow at her time this semester and is excited to contribute once again

Collins Tanomkhum, Reporter
Collins Tanomkhum is a 19-year-old journalism major looking to transfer to film. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, until his family moved to Fresno in 2021, where he’s lived ever since with his cat, Pinecone. His passions lie in creative fields and storytelling; anything to do with the visual arts is where he finds both the most enjoyment and challenge. From literature to drawing and video editing, Collins is a big fan of figuring out how to convey ideas in a way that’s interesting to the eye.
Video production has been a hobby of his since he was young, but he’s recently dived into learning the medium as a future career. He worked backstage as a tech in high school at the Sanger West Hive Theatre, the same place where he became familiar with news broadcasting in the WESTcast. Although preferring the seat behind the camera, Collins finds the connections made in the media to be the most important. Right behind that, Collin’s interest in sharing personal stories from himself and others has become a major motivator in the work he creates. A core value of his is to help people feel heard, and video production is his preferred method of communication.
In his free time, Collins enjoys discovering new films, shows and music that he shares with his brother. He adores sad stories, but he ends up watching a lot of awful horror films instead.
