The Asian Fest is an all day event starting at 9:00 a.m. and going until 7:00 p.m.

The event will include food trucks, live performances, activities for kids, exhibits, demonstrations and other activities.

Going beyond Activities, Asian Fest promotes culture diversity and the cultural heritage of the Central Valley.

“Sharing culture is so important. How do we learn about other ethnicities or other cultures, you need to see their costumes, the colors, you need to see their performances and you need to hear from them,” Martin said.

Asian Fest will have many activities such as exhibits, crafts, anime and cosplay

village complete with anime-wrapped cars, children’s activities and demonstrations.

The day before Asian Fest is the Friday Night Market which will have live entertainment, food and vendor fair, beer and sake garden.

Ethan Gong, a student who is currently studying in the music program hasn’t been to an Asian Festival in awhile but plans on going to the night market to see what it is like.
