The Annual Wind Fest Returns to Fresno City College

On March 25, Fresno City College held its second annual Wind Fest featuring eight bands from different schools.

The Redwood High School band were a little nervous to perform at FCC. However, since they have performed before they said they felt ready to play. 

Jordan Ray, musical director from Redwood said, “I believe we’ll do very well today.”

At the end of the performance Elisha Wells, FCC music instructor and festival director, gave Ray an achievement of excellent performance.

After the concert, musical instructors assisted Redwood with their pacing and rhythm.
Wells expressed how proud she was of all the bands that performed.

“You |band students| all ran an incredible festival today. It was a wonderful revival of the festival band programs in the Central Valley,” Wells said.

Wind Fest was held in the FCC Theater of Arts and Dance and admission was free to the public.

Proof of vaccinations or a negative COVID-19 test with in 72 hours was required upon entry. 

The FCC theater was somewhat empty other than band students shifting in and out to be supportive of others.
