Alexandria Ramos O'Casey’s artistic ofrenda in honor of late Fresno City College professor Ralph Gant is displayed in the Arte Américas art exhibit on Oct. 2. The ofrenda is a large papier-mâché sculpture shaped to look like a book and made up of Rampage newspapers pasted on top, with Ralph Gant’s name written in black letters on the right side, and Gant’s painted portrait on the left. In front of the book structure is a teal chair with an open book in the seat, surrounded by stacks of Gant’s personal books and candles.
