Is it me or is the 2-party system a complete joke?

For years the American people have seen the political corruption within our government continually worsen. The 2016 presidential election is on its way and many Republicans and Democrats are fighting for America’s votes–but also for political power. Both parties claim to have the right answers but in reality, they don’t.

For a person like myself, who is not a supporter to any Republican or Democrat and who doesn’t like the two parties, it’s time for a change. Hello? Wake up Americans! We have other parties, so why still vote for the same people from both parties who don’t care for the American people?

There’s so much evidence that the government and its elected officials who we vote for lie, cheat the American people out of their taxes and they care nothing of the troubles of the others.

According to the Asia-Pacific Economic Blog, “Corruption is one of the issues that is often encountered by a bunch of countries today. One of the reasons why the rate of corruption is increasing is due to the two party system.”

One of my favorite books that describes the two parties is Vine Deloria’s Indian manifesto “Custer Died For Your Sins”. In the book he states that “one party stands for less government and the other is the party of the people.”

When you listen to the two parties, what are they really saying? One is overly religious; they are against everything that doesn’t agree with them. The other represents the special interests, political ideology and military.

The modern political party system in the U.S. is a two-party system dominated by the Democratic Party and the Republican Party. It has been far too long since we had a third party president and maybe it’s time for other parties to rise.

The last non-Democratic or non-Republican president was Millard Fillmore of the Whig Party. Millard Fillmore was the 13th President of the United States, the last Whig president, and the last president not to be affiliated with either the Democratic or Republican parties.

We as Americans can do without the two party system. I mean, come on, there are other parties we can vote for such as the Green party, Socialist Workers party and the Independent party just to name a few.

There was a time in American history when there there wasn’t just a 2-party system but many parties that represented the American people. Americans are already angry with the government and the people who are trying to run it.

Is it bad enough we’re in a war we are not going to win? Is it not enough that we don’t have jobs for the American people that the government has given to other countries for cheap labor? And is it not enough that the media favors both parties and not the others?

There’s evidence that shows the front-runners of both parties are the worst. One is a wealthy, not very bright European immigrant and the other one, well, sorry Mrs.Clinton, but she is not right for the job. Bernie Sanders, the other Democratic-Socialist hopeful, he’s OK.

To further prove my point about the system itself, Deloria said “If America has done to us as its wishes others to do to her, then the future will not be bright. America is running up a great debt. It may someday see the wholesale despoliation of its lands and people by a foreign nation.”

So America, let’s grow up and stop living in our past glories and begin a new golden age for America. America can be great again. Let us just vote for the right people for the job and become a Republic again.
