Sara Cisneros, Reporter
Sara Cisneros is 17 years old and is majoring in journalism. She was born and raised in Fresno and has 4 siblings. She found her appreciation for journalism during her senior year in high school. Initially, Sara planned to study and major in psychology but ended up gaining an interest in film throughout her freshman year of high school. She felt that she didn’t want to combine her hobbies with career choices so the in-between of journalism became something she could feel passionate about while also treating it as work. She enrolled in multimedia classes at CART and took part in video production related projects throughout the school year which helped to broaden her experience in the things she already loved doing. In her free time, Sara likes to hang out at local music shows or spend time at events like Art Hop with friends. She loves writing movie reviews and putting her thoughts out onto the internet.
Among these things, Sara has also always felt a desire to create, Whether it be through art—traditional or digital—music, writing, fashion, or merely building relationships. She believes that putting herself in a position that depends on her ability to create and provide information to an outside audience will help her exercise both her creativity and social capabilities. She’s always up for a challenge.
Sara hopes to graduate and transfer to Fresno State to pursue journalism and is excited for all the things that working as a reporter for the Rampage may bring.
