Diego Rivera, Reporter
Diego Rivera is 38 years old in Dino years, last of a dying breed. He was born and raised in Fresno California
He has always had a passion to learn at a young age in 3rd grade. He loved to play the extra games the teacher would allow such as racing and battling in front of the class in spelling contests and math. The game was who can provide the answers the fastest on the chalk board, that was one of Diego’s favorite activities that his school provided, while being able to show off.
As a young boy Diego was always very athletic with his parents keeping him in sports and practicing with him to keep him ahead of the others. He played sports such as soccer, kickball, baseball for little leagues and then football. His dad also had him and his brother hit the punching bag in the garage as punishment.
Diego attended LVN school at West Hills college in 2004 obtaining His LVN license from the State of California in 2005 where He relocated to San Luis Obispo for 3 years to work in a hospital at close to 30$ an hour, starting in 2006 then returning to Fresno in 2009.
While working as an LVN and passing medications for a living, interested in pharmacology,Diego came across Holistic Practitioners that were healing diseases the doctors and hospitals could not. Such as autism, cancers at a stage 4, diabetes of the which are the easier ones and many others. Skeptics of course would never believe this, neither did Diego until becoming exposed to this field of medicine, seeing the proof was in the practice. Even if the patient did not believe but was exhausted from conventional medicines, dead end prescriptions and non-stop doctor visits, the proof was in the practice. He realized sometimes people can get pushed into trying anything when everything else fails.
Diego is interested in bringing back these medicines and combining them with modern technology. He was also introduced to ancient styles of brewing beers including medicinal root beers made from actual roots, organic raw honey wines, all the different types of teas, and natural healing sodas made from plants. So, he started to become uninterested in the medicines he was passing and began processing plants into medicine. Diego Realized mostly all medicines are derived from plants or isolated chemicals within the plant. He then left his LVN position and came back to school in 2019 into the Major Nutrition Science, Native American Studies, and Journalism because of social justice and passing along the messages to unite people and bring together communities. Diego became vegan in 2015 not realizing that was his path, but after studying food engineering, The Food and Drug Administration, plus the history of cultures, it led him into becoming vegan till this day, by choice. One more thing about Diego before we end is that he loves to grow plants and wishes to combine his businesses with plant-based products and a collective of creative alternatives, in partnership with other entrepreneurs.
