Alan is a 20-year-old student from Fresno, California. He is currently majoring in biology, with thoughts on minoring in Communications or Journalism, with plans to further his education at a University of California, currently unsure of which exact one. This is his first year of college after working out of high school in 2023, providing help to his mother and little brother and sister. Now, he has a passion for exploring life and helping people. This is his first ever year in journalism, and he decided to take this course to sharpen his communication skills, be part of a team again, and use his voice to share stories. In high school, he was part of the soccer team and marching band/drumline. He has experience with drawing, playing drums, and acting, since elementary school. Aside from academics, he is passionate about bodybuilding and fitness. He also loves video games, movies, music, sports, and anime. He also has a strong interest in modeling, acting, and photography, hoping to be able to do the things he loves for the rest of his life. As a multi-passionate exploratory, his plans after college are uncertain, but is optimistic he’ll find his true calling.

He has a black cat named Mavis he loves and is the oldest of 7 siblings who he loves and loves to annoy. During his free time, his hobbies include going to the gym, cooking, watching anime, and reading manga. Through being an actively involved student and a part of this team, he hopes to contribute meaningful stories to further develop as a creative, and meet new and interesting people.
