The health care system in the United States is broken. Among all wealthy industrialized nations the United States comes dead last in the quality of care it provides. Middle class families are going broke trying to pay off medical bills that there insurance providers refuse to pay.

FCC bookstore displays work of faculty, staff

The Fresno City College bookstore is showcasing literary works by faculty and staff. More than a dozen instructors at FCC have authored books in fiction, non-fiction and poetry. The display features a book of poetry, This many miles from desire by Lee Herrick, an instructor of English; The Particulars of Being, a book of poetry by Michael David Roberts, Dean of Humanities; And he made a woman by Darlene Laney, a book on how to become a woman of quality in a B class world.

ASG organizes protest ‘March in March’

On March 16, the Associated Student Government (ASG) at Fresno City College, working in association with the Student Senate for California Community Colleges, will be putting on a large-scale protest in Sacramento. This event, dubbed the "March in March", will consist of a mile-long march from Raley Field to the state capitol building to protest allotted budget cuts to education, as well as a chance for students to hold question and answer sessions with their state legislators.
