The State Center Community College District Police Department will compete against other Central California law enforcement agencies during the 16th Annual Battle of the Badges Blood Drive at Fresno City College on May 3, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

A Central California Blood Center Mobile will be at the main fountain to take blood donations to see which agency has more blood donated on their behalf.

SCCCD chief of police Jose Flores will be one of the first donors.

The winning organization will receive a trophy and T-shirts and reward coupons will be given to donors.

Donors must weigh at least 110 pounds and be at least 16 years old, and those under 18 years of age will need written parental consent. There are no upper age limits, so senior citizens are encouraged to donate.

It is suggested that all donors eat a decent meal and drink a good amount of water at least four hours before their donation.
