What would a fair be without the music? Not a very good one. Thankfully, that is not the case with the Big Fresno Fair. Not only does the Big Fresno Fair promise good music at low prices, it also offers a very diverse selection of musical genres, able to please all ears. From rock to rap to mariachi, the Fresno Fair has got it all.
On Oct. 7, the alternative rock band, Barenaked Ladies, with supporting artist Caitlin Crosby will be the first group to perform at the Paul Paul Theater. Tickets for this double-act show can be purchased for $20 to $25.
On the next day, Oct. 8, the legendary 1960′s rock group, the Beach Boys, will take the stage. For as little as $15 to $20, older fans can take a trip down memory lane.
On Oct. 9, the Big Fresno fair will host singer/songwriter Chris Isaak. Tickets can be bought for $20 to $25.
Parents looking for a family-friendly show can bring their children to see Nat & Alex Wolff, known for their Nickelodeon “mockumentary” of the same name on Oct. 10. Tickets are on sale for $10 to $15. On the same night, hip-hop fans will get to enjoy rapper, The Game, for $22 to $17 per ticket.
The popular Latin-music group, Los Tigres Del Norte, will perform on Oct. 11. Tickets are $25 to $30.
It’s Hammertime on Oct. 12. The early 90s favorite MC Hammer and supporting artist Tone Loc will perform at the Paul Paul Theater. Tickets are on sale for $10-$15.
On Oct. 13, Christian audiences can look forward to seeing Michael W. Smith and Worth Dying For, a Christian rock band. Tickets are available for $15 to $20.
The many talented, Latin-tinged rock band Los Lobos are scheduled to perform on Oct. 14 for $15 to $20 per ticket.
On Oct. 15, visitors at the Big Fresno Fair should be ready to rock out with Stone Temple Pilots. Tickets are $39 to $45.
Country superstar Dwight Yoakam is set to take the stage on Oct. 16. Country fans can enjoy the show for $20 to $25 per ticket.
Puddle of Mudd and opening act Six Ounce Gloves will rock the stage on Oct. 17. Tickets are on sale for $20 to $15.
Last on the list is the Festival Del Mariachi, which is absolutely free for all to enjoy. The Mariachi folk music of Mexico will play from noon until 6:00 p.m. in the afternoon. Unless otherwise noted, all concerts begin at 7:30 p.m..
This year’s fair is all about getting the most bang for your buck, and this year’s concert line-up does just that. If you’re looking for great entertainment at a great price, the fair is the place to be.
