Police called to Financial Aid office

An incident taking place at the Student Services building led to the State Center Community College District police patrolling the building.

Two students, one black and one hispanic were standing in line, when one of them stated “let’s go” and that he would return to the office with a gun, according to a statement from president Tony Cantu’s office.

There were no injuries to the Financial Aid staff and the men reportedly left the campus and police are searching for them.

The Financial Aid office remains open.
