Tower District’s Art Murals

The wall art in the Tower District is worth the walk, with it’s multi-cultural elements and out of the ordinary location. The Tower District is known for it’s fine dining, arts and entertainment nightlife.

The Tower District is also infamous for its underground art murals throughout the area. Nearly every corner has a form of wall art. The area is also a historical area in the Central Valley.      

The art in Tower brings style and it shows culture. What’s most noticeable is the many different designs on the walls. The art in Tower is out of the ordinary. A walk around the area brings a retro look to the Tower District.

According to Visit California, “ Built up in the 30s as a suburb accessible by Fresno’s (now retired) streetcars, the neon-bright Tower District is now nightlife central in this part of the valley.”

For the most part, the Tower District brings a vintage style to the area. The graffiti mural art in Tower brings a underground feeling. With its hip bars, art galleries, and local entertainment, the Tower District is a one of a kind place in the Valley. The art here alone is worth the walk.      

One section of the wall art in Tower is so full of emotion and has caught so many eyes is the area that some named “The Viking” because of its appearances. It is located at the old Audie’s Olympic tavern parking lot.

The area has become a graffiti safe place in the Tower District. Most of the wall art is located in the back alleys in some of the business like Chase’s Flower Shop and Ming’s Chinese restaurant, just to name a few.

Every mural art is special in its own way. Some of the graffiti art has very subliminal imagery, some are so detailed, and it’s a little taste of subculture to the area. Just one walk down into the Tower District and you will be a amazed.

Art is important to every culture and it brings life. The Tower District is a piece of so many cultures and with it’s historical location. The mural street art of Tower is worth the walk and the experience in the Central Valley.
